1200 seconds is the approximate time it takes to get married.
1200 seconds of nerves, excitement, butterflies in the stomach and remembering your vows. 1200 seconds until it's sealed with a kiss.
Katherine Griffiths is an Australian award winning artist and freelance photographer. Her wedding photography falls between the styles of photojournalism and fine art photography. Capturing images with a documentary approach in mind, she moves away from the conventions of staged photography ultimately aiming not to alter a moment, but to capture it authentically.
In 2010, Katherine graduated from the Australian National University School of Art completing her Honours in Photography and New Media Arts. Since graduating she has undergone residencies, held solo exhibitions and been apart of multiple group shows. Last year Katherine was awarded the Queensland Centre for Photography Youngblood Artist of the year and this year Capture Magazine has named Katherine as Australia's top 10 emerging art photographers. As an artist her work deals with themes concerning identity, self-concept, the influence of emotion and everyday observations on today’s society.
